Harlon Housing CIC rents three plus bedroom properties across the country.

How do the arrangements work?

Our arrangements are the same as a normal tenancy, Harlon Housing CIC will be the tenant paying the rent to the landlord monthly.

How does the rent get paid?

The rents get paid direct into the landlords’ bank account monthly.

How is the rent set?

The rent is agreed between the landlord and Harlon Housing CIC which is the current market rental value.

Does the property need to be adapted?

Usually not but once we arrange a viewing we can discuss weather we need to adapt the property at all.

Slight adjustments may require:

  • Fire safe doors
  • Euro locks on bedroom doors
  • Smoke alarms in each room

How are repairs and maintenance managed?

Through our maintenance department which is a team of admin, and maintenance staff.

Is planning permission required for change of use?

Planning permission is not required as there is no change of use.

Do I need a license?

Houses will need a HMO licence, which our staff can help the landlord with if they do not have a HMO in place and would like to do so.

Depending on the arrangement a landlord has with an estate agent, our service does offer full management services.

Is there any reasons why my property may not be accepted?

We do not rent properties on top of commercial units or flats, on inspection we will let you know if the property is suitable.
